Helicopters have a maximum capacity of 6 passenger seats, hot air balloons have a maximum capacity of 12 passenger seats and the airship has a capacity of 3 passengers

The following flights are seat-based, meaning you share the aircraft with other passengers:


Maiden flights, Villandry panoramic flight, Amboise panoramic flight, Chenonceau panoramic flight, and Chambord panoramic flight. These tours can be included in a stay.

Hot-air Balloon:

Maiden hot air balloon flight, Chenonceau or Amboise hot-air balloon, Sarthe hot-air balloon


Classic Airship Flight


Our services are also resold through partners.

Air Touraine will not be held responsible for the fares displayed by these partners and will not make any refunds for fare differences, if any.

During certain times of the year, rates are discounted. No refunds will be made for one-off rate discounts.


Ticket payment in full is required upon reservation. Reservation vouchers are valid for one year, you must sign up for a flight date during the validity period.

Go to our website, "I have my tickets, I reserve" section to make your reservation.

You can purchase our ticket extension option if you wish to extend your ticket’s validity.

Payment methods accepted: Credit card, Cheque, Cash, Payment in 2 instalments without charges on Payzen payment platform, ANCV, e-ANCV, Kadeos, Up Cadhoc, and Cadocheq


Transfer of tickets:

You can transfer your tickets to a third party provided our company is notified. The beneficiary will have to accept our terms of sale.

Withdrawal period:

In compliance with the Consumer Code, you have a 14-day withdrawal period after purchasing your service from our company directly (not valid for tickets purchased from our partners) if you have not yet reserved a date for your flight.

In order to have your purchase refunded, please complete and return the withdrawal form available in your "my account" space on our website

The refund will be made by cheque or directly to the credit card used to make your payment.


Tickets are non-refundable. If you wish, you can subscribe to a cancellation option; see conditions at the bottom of the page.

Tickets from partners are not eligible for cancellation insurance and are non-refundable. In case of cancellation, which may occur just before take-off, Air Touraine cannot be held responsible for the expenses incurred by the passenger to get to the meeting point (travel, accommodation, catering).

Flight postponement:

Only the pilot is able to judge a flight’s feasibility.

If weather conditions are unfavourable, the flight will be rescheduled for a later date.

In the context of packages involving other service providers (restaurant, hotel, etc.), cancellation of flights due to weather does not disengage you from other reservations.

You will receive a text message a ½ day before your flight informing you of the postponement and asking you to choose a new date on our website

Our flights are weather dependent, so your flight may have to be rescheduled several times.

Any change of reservation made by you within one month of your flight date will result in the loss of your ticket.

No show on the day of the flight and late arrival:

If you do not show up at your check-in time on the day of your flight, your ticket will be lost.

We do not accept any late arrivals.



You have the option of privatizing an aircraft.

Rates are for a total rental price based on the aircraft’s capacity.

This may be revised if you modify the aircraft’s capacity (change in number of passengers)

Total payment will be requested at the time of booking on our website

If you wish to pay a deposit, you can contact us by phone

The balance will be due no later than the day of the flight

You must provide us with the full names and weights of passengers.


A-la-carte flight:

When an à-la-carte flight takes off from a location not referenced by our company and chosen by the client, confirmation is required by our services.

Clients will need to ensure that sites used are demarcated and secure.


Cancellation conditions for private flights:

In the event of your cancelling your flight, the following fee schedule will apply:

Over 30 days from the scheduled date: €30/file

from 29 to 10 days: 15% of the fee

from 9 to D-day: Retention of the 30% deposit

Flight times:

Flight times are approximate and may vary for weather or operational reasons

Helicopter sightseeing tours:

Locations flown over may change depending on air traffic and weather conditions.

Hot-air balloon flights:

The meeting point for Chenonceau and Amboise flights is Franceuil (near Chenonceaux).

The flight departure point is decided onsite, depending on wind direction, so as to give you the best possible chances of flying over the Châteaux indicated. The service depends on the whim the wind, we cannot guarantee you a flight over the Châteaux mentioned.


As with any leisure activity, we recommend casual attire (cotton for hot-air ballooning) with comfortable shoes (for hot-air ballooning and airship in particular.

For the hot-air balloon, please bring headwear

Items on board:

Please leave your bags and any other bulky items in your vehicle.

Passenger liability:

Passengers are asked to respect the safety instructions and the aircraft used.

Passengers will be held responsible for any damage to the aircraft due to unauthorized actions.


The cost of insurance covering each passenger under the civil liability of the aircraft used is included.


The company reserves the right to use subcontractors, All our partners have air operator certificates.



Helicopter and Airship:

You are comfortably seated aboard our aircraft, so there is no age limit or need for special physical conditions in order to make a flight.

Children are accepted from 4-5 years old on short flights.

However, please let us know if you need assistance (PRM …) or if you weigh more than 115 kg

Hot-air Balloon:

Balloon flights are calm experiences at the whim of the wind but require good physical condition.

We do not accept passengers with serious medical conditions or who have just undergone surgery, or pregnant women.

Passengers must be able to step into the gondola. When landing, for safety reasons, passengers must be able to bend their legs and hold the position for 10 seconds.

We are not in a position to judge your physical condition, so we advise you to seek advice from your doctor if you are in doubt.

Children are accepted from the age of 6 as long as they are over 1m20 tall




- Ticketing, flights by the seat: €15/person

- Private Flights: €60 in total for private flights with up to 4 passengers and €80 from 5 passengers.

This option enables you to obtain a cost-free ticket refund upon presentation of proof for the following reasons:

- Serious illness, serious accident or death:

- of yourself, or your legal or de facto spouse/ of your ascendants or descendants, to the 2nd degree, and/or those of your legal or de facto spouse

- Complications due to pregnancy

- Destruction or theft of business or private premises

Within 24 hours prior to the flight only

- Serious damage to your vehicle

Within 24 hours prior to the flight and to the extent that où this cannot be used to get to the departure point.

- Cancellation or modification of paid leave dates by the employer, if you live more than 3 hours away from the meeting point and the flight is scheduled during your leave

Tourists staying in the region:

Unfortunately, our flights are sometimes cancelled due to bad weather.

In the case of a private flight, if you live more than 250 km from our site and do not wish to postpone the service, your deposit will be returned to you (excluding reseller tickets)

For tickets, refunds will only be made if you live more than 350 km away or after a fourth postponement (excluding partner tickets)
