1) OUR FLIGHTS INSTEAD :
Helicopters have a maximum capacity of 6 passenger seats, hot-air balloons 16 passenger seats and airships 3 passenger seats.
The flying season extends from March to October (depending on the weather).
The following flights are seat-only, i.e. you share the aircraft with other people:
- Helicopter :
Baptisms of the air, panoramic flight Villandry, panoramic flight Amboise, panoramic flight Chenonceau, panoramic flight Chambord. From Tours airport, you'll find Tours - Amboise, Tours-Chenonceau, Tours-Villandry, Tours-Chambord.
- Hot-air balloon :
Hot-air balloon Loire Castles, hot-air balloon Sarthe.
- Airship :
Classic Airship flight.
2) TRANSFER OF TICKETS :
You may transfer your tickets to a third party, but you must inform us and the third party must accept our terms and conditions of sale.
3) RATES :
Our services are also sold to partners.
Air Touraine cannot be held responsible for the fares displayed by these partners and will not refund any fare difference.
4) RESERVATION :
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Reservation vouchers are valid for 18 months; you must register for a flight date during the voucher's validity.
Go to airtouraine.fr, "I've got my tickets, I'm booking" to make your reservation.
You can take out our ticket extension option to extend the validity of your ticket.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD :
In accordance with the French Consumer Code, you have a 14-day cooling-off period after purchasing your service directly from our company (not valid for tickets purchased from our partners) if you have not yet booked a date for your flight.
In order to proceed with the refund of your purchase, we invite you to complete and return the withdrawal form available in your my account area on our website airtouraine.fr.
Reimbursement will be made by cheque or bank transfer.
CANCELLATION :
Tickets are non-refundable, but you can take out a cancellation option if you wish.
Tickets from partners* are not eligible for cancellation insurance and are non-refundable.
FLIGHT POSTPONEMENT :
Only the pilot can judge the feasibility of the flight.
If weather conditions are unfavorable (e.g. temperature too high, wind, gusts, rain or storm), the flight will be postponed to a later date.
If the balloon basket, helicopter or airship gondola is not complete, the flight will be postponed to a later date.
Our flights are weather-dependent, so your flight may be postponed several times. We invite you to take the cancellation option if you are visiting the region for a short period and cannot reschedule your flight.
For your information: statistically, morning hot-air balloon flights are the least postponed.
As an alternative to your hot-air balloon flight, we can offer you a helicopter flight at the same price (subject to pilot availability).
You will receive an SMS ½ day before your flight informing you of the postponement or validation of your flight. In case of postponement, we invite you to choose a new date on our website airtouraine.fr.
The weather can change rapidly, and our pilots can cancel a flight at the last minute if necessary for your safety.
Any booking changes made by you within one month of your flight date will result in the loss of your ticket.
NO-SHOW ON DAY OF FLIGHT AND DELAY :
If you fail to arrive at your check-in time on the day of your flight, your ticket will be lost.
We do not accept delays.
3) PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
HELICOPTER:
You're comfortably seated on board our aircraft, so there's no age limit or need for special physical conditions to make a flight.
Children aged 3-4 and over are accepted on short flights.
However, please let us know if you require assistance (PRM...).
HOT-AIR BALLOON & DIRIGIBLE :
Flying in a hot-air balloon is a calm, wind-driven experience, but requires a good level of physical fitness.
You cannot fly if you have a serious medical condition or have just undergone surgery.
We are not in a position to judge your physical condition, so we advise you to ask your doctor for advice if you have any doubts.
Passengers must be able to step over the basket. On landing, for safety reasons, passengers must be able to bend their legs and hold this position for 10 seconds.
We do not accept pregnant women on board. Children are accepted from the age of 7 and if they are over 1 m 30 tall.
4) DRESS CODE
As with any leisure activity, we recommend that you wear casual clothes and comfortable shoes (especially for hot-air ballooning and airships). For hot-air ballooning, we recommend that you also bring a head covering (in case of sun). For your information, the temperature inside the gondola can be up to 10 degrees higher than outside.
