How does your piloting session work?

  1. Welcome & check-in (15 min) - ID check and helmet equipment.
  2. Theoretical briefing (30 min) - Aerodynamics, control surfaces, pre-flight checklist, safety zones.
  3. Pre-flight with instructor (15 min) - Visual inspection of helicopter and start-up.
  4. Flying at the controls (15 min)
    • Instructor-assisted takeoff.
    • Holding stationary, turning, translating.
    • Panoramic flight over the Loire castles.
    • Approach and landing under dual control.
  5. Debriefing & certificate presentation (10 min).

Conditions, health and equipment required

No license required. You must be at least 15 years old (with parental consent for minors) and present a valid identity card. A medical certificate of non-contra-indication may be required for people suffering from specific pathologies.

Recommended equipment: light clothing, flat shoes, sunglasses.

No. The instructor is the pilot-in-command and guides you in dual control.

Can the weather delay the session?

Yes. For your safety, Air Touraine can reschedule the flight free of charge in the event of strong winds or reduced visibility.

Can we invite a passenger?

On some 4-seater aircraft, one passenger can board.
