Welcome and departure by helicopter from Tours

Your wine-tasting helicopter flight begins in Tours (Tours Val de Loire airport or Air Touraine heliport, depending on your schedule). Our team will welcome you, check you in and accompany you to the helicopter.

Your professional pilot will give you a safety briefing (instructions, flight schedule, châteaux overflight), then invite you to take your place aboard one of our Bell 206 JetRanger or LongRanger helicopters, the benchmark for panoramic flights. With your headset on, you can listen to the commentary and chat with the pilot.

Founded in 1856, Château de l'Aulée is a benchmark estate in the Loire Valley. Now run by a winemaking couple - an oenologist of Champagne origin and her husband from Touraine - it has established itself as a major player in the local appellations (AOC Touraine Azay-le-Rideau, traditional sparkling wines, Crémant de Loire...).

Your on-site experience includes :

  • Guided tour of the cellars: discover the secrets of vinification, ageing in the cellar, the traditional method and work around the Loire bubbles.
  • Guided tasting: enjoy a selection ofaround four cuvées (still and/or sparkling wines) accompanied by an assortment of local products: cheeses, fine charcuterie, appetizers...

For around 1 hour, you can talk to the estate team about the Loire grape varieties (Chenin, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc...), the history of the vineyard and the philosophy of Château de l'Aulée, resolutely committed to wines of character and elegance.

Before leaving the domaine, you can buy the wines you've tasted or put together your own souvenir case of Crémants de Loire and Touraine wines to take home.

Return helicopter flight to Tours

At the end of this interlude in the heart of the vineyards, you return to your helicopter for the return flight to Tours. The return route offers you a final overview of the castles, valleys and vineyards of the Loire Valley.

After landing, the Air Touraine team accompanies you back to the terminal or parking lot. Your Héli Œnologie experience is over, but you'll leave with plenty of memories... and maybe a few bottles of Aulée.
