Helicopter flight

Our airline, approved by the French civil aviation authority, has a homogeneous fleet of 5 Bell 206 helicopters with 4 or 6 passenger seats, and 5 professional pilots.

This type of helicopter is highly versatile, being used not only for tourist flights, but also for aerial work, heli-lifting, passenger transfers, aerial photography, parachute jumping...

You can rent one or more helicopters and fly over the châteaux of the Loire Valley or your home, from any location you wish (hotel, home, airfield, company, etc.) on a private basis.

A helicopter ride is the perfect gift idea for family, colleagues or customers.

• On the day of your helicopter flight, we will meet you at our heliport or at the site of your choice, depending on your flight time.
  
• The professional pilot and our ground assistant will brief you on the flight and safety measures.
• Once you're on board, strapped in and wearing your soundproof helmet, the engine starts up and the rotor blades begin to turn. The engine starts up and the rotor blades begin to turn: your first flight begins! The pilot will comment on the sites overflown, and you'll be able to capture some magnificent images with your camera.
• Thelanding is smooth and your ground assistant will take you to a safe area.

1/Do flights depend on weather conditions?

Helicopter flights depend little on weather conditions. Nevertheless, heavy rain, fog and strong winds may force us to postpone the flight.

Depending on the option you have selected, your flight will be rescheduled or refunded.

2/ Which departure points for a helicopter tour?

It all depends on the service you choose.

If you've booked a helicopter flight or panoramic flight, departure will be from our heliport at Neuvy-le-Roi, north of Tours.

If you have rented one or more helicopters, the flights will depart from the site you have chosen (airport, hotel, home, reception hall, company, etc.).

Our operations manager will analyze the desired starting point and confirm the installation area.

Helicopter flights depart from built-up areas. The optimum surface area should ideally be around 1000m ², with a clear take-off axis and no power lines.

3/Are children allowed on board?

Children aged 3-4 and over are accepted on board for short flights accompanied by their parents.

4/Do you need to be in good physical condition for a helicopter ride?

Our activity is open to all. We have the Tourism and Disability label.

People with reduced mobility are taken on board by their companions with the help of our ground hostess.

Wheelchairs are not accepted on board.

Like all airlines, pregnant women are welcome up to their 7th month of pregnancy.

 5/Is it possible to take the controls and fly a helicopter?

You can experience the incredible sensations of controlling this superb machine and live the dream of being a pilot!

We offer an introduction to helicopter piloting with our Air Touraine Academy school. After 30 minutes of theory, during which the instructor will explain how the helicopter works, you'll take the controls for a 15-minute flight!

Our flight school in Tours also offers theoretical and practical courses to validate your private helicopter pilot license.

6/What should we bring on the day of our helicopter flight?

Our ground staff will ask you for proof of reservation and your ID.

No special clothing is required, but we ask the ladies to avoid wearing dresses, which are lifted by the helicopter's blast!

Bags and hats must remain in your vehicle.

You can take your cell phone with you to capture these magical moments.
